Hi folks, With the start of the event less than one week away, I thought I would give a quick update. Last weekend at MIS there was a bit of an incident with the turbo. It appears that there was a manufacturing defect in the casting, which allowed a crack to form in the water jacket. Fortunately TRE is shipping out a brand new turbo tomorrow which should be here on Tuesday, in plenty time for the start of the event. Thank you very much Jon for the quick turn around time and the replacement! We finally received our anti-sway bars from Suspension Techniques, and as far as I know, we are the first customer to have them on the car (for 2gs, that is). More info. on how they perform during the event when we get to really test them out! Suspension Techniques also provided us with a front upper stress bar, just in time for the event. Everything else is now falling into play, and the car should be 100% by the middle of this week, ready to take on the world at the 1999 One Lap of America. I'll be seeing some of you in Ann Arbor, and hopefully at some other tracks too - you're always welcome at every one! Daily updates will, as planned, be posted daily from the road, so keep on checking back here for all the up- to-the-minute news from around the country. P.S. As soon as the decals arrive and we place them on the car, the Gallery section will be updated. Sorry about the delay.. - Emmanuel
