Today was the qualifying session at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan. The car ran very well (except for the brakes, of course - they were faded after the one recon lap and half a hot lap!), but unfortunately I had never practiced launching the car before, and severely bogged the car at the start of the qualifying lap. I even had some people think that I was sandbagging! :) Once the turbo spooled (right around the entrance for turn 1), away we went, qualifying 10th Overall at 1:39.042. FTD was Sean Roe in the Hennessey, at 1:35.303. GingerMan is definitely going to be one of the slower tracks for the Supra as we lose a lot of time to the Vipers and other big-torque / low-rpm monsters as the track is quite tiny and we can't use our high HP well at all.

The Eclipse finished 42nd Overall in Qualifying, with J.M. driving. This is his first time in the car since the new motor and suspension and he's just getting used to it. His position will surely improve as the week progresses!

Tomorrow the festivities really begin, as we run events at both GingerMany Raceway and Michigan International Speedway.
